I’m an editor on the Well desk at The New York Times, where I edit stories about health and fitness.
Before this, I spent about 8 years working for Outside, most recently as the editorial director. I oversaw Outside’s daily digital operations, helped shape our editorial strategy, managed a team of editors, and edited a wide range of stories across the site and the magazine.
I still write occasionally, and my work has appeared in The Atlantic, Outside, National Journal magazine, The New Republic, The Columbia Journalism Review, and elsewhere.
I live in Brooklyn. In my spare time, I run entirely too much and I write an occasional newsletter about running.
