I'm the Editorial Director at Outside, where I oversee our daily digital operations, help shape our editorial strategy, manage a team of editors, and edit a wide range of stories across the site and the magazine. For about five years I was the lead editor of our Health section, and I still edit Sweat Science, Alex Hutchinson’s column about the science of endurance; and In Stride, Fritz Huber's column about running culture. I also assign features and essays on a variety of subjects. Some stories I’ve edited live here.
I also write a newsletter about women’s running called the Kick. You can check it out and subscribe here.
I still write occasionally, and my work has appeared online or in print in: The Atlantic, Outside, National Journal magazine, The New Republic, The Columbia Journalism Review, and elsewhere.
In my spare time, I run entirely too much. You can find me by the coffee.
